The kitchen has the things people actually reach for, rice maker and blender included. Out back, a gas grill with a valley view. Beach gear is usually on hand — towels, cooler, chairs, sand toys. This is the quiet end of the island, closer to hiking and golf than to tour buses, and that's the point.
